    Generally, the Building Owner covers all costs related to the Party Wall Award, including their own and the adjoining owner’s surveyor fees, especially if the works benefit the Building Owner solely.

    Yes, a Party Wall Award can be modified by a county court on appeal, but this process can incur additional costs if the appeal is unsuccessful.

    A follow-up letter can be sent, and if necessary, a Party Wall Surveyor can be appointed to act on behalf of the non-responsive neighbour.

    While neighbours can dissent to a Notice, they cannot prevent an Award from being agreed upon, especially after Surveyors have been appointed to handle the dispute.

    Non-compliance can lead to legal consequences, including the right to seek an injunction to halt the works until the Party Wall Act processes are followed.
